FourFront Management CEO Donald Wangunyu appointed Non-Executive Director at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

9th June 2021 Nairobi, Kenya. Standard Investment Bank (SIB) congratulates Mr. Donald Wangunyu, CEO of FourFront Management and SIB Board Member on his appointment as a Non-Executive Director representing Trading Participants at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

Donald follows on the trail of Mr. James Wangunyu, SIB Founder and Managing Director as well as Mr. Job Kihumba, Executive Director for Corporate Finance at SIB, both of whom previously held key positions at the NSE. James Wangunyu served as Director and Chairman of the NSE between 2008-2009, while Job Kihumba served as Director and the first Chief Executive Officer of the NSE 1991-1999.

Donald joined the SIB team in 2008 to head the Operations Division with an emphasis on risk management, compliance, and operational excellence. Five years later, his role was expanded to include business development with a specific focus on the brokerage side of the business.

In response to the needs of SIB customers, Donald was charged with the responsibility of setting up FourFront Management, a division of Standard Investment Bank in 2019. As Chief Executive Officer, he leads a team that is building solutions to increase the ease and efficiency through which the general public understands, accesses and consumes investment banking services.

In 2020, under Donald’s stewardship, FourFront Management gained admission to the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Regulatory Sandbox to test a robo-advisory solution targeting 100 investors during a four-month period.

We wish Donald the very best in his new role and commend the NSE for this well deserving appointment.
