The firm offers individual and institutional clients a single point of entry for Asset Management, Securities Trading, Market Research, Investment Management and Corporate Finance. SIB is regulated as an Investment Bank (2003) and an Online Forex Trading Money Manager (2018) by the Capital Markets Authority.

An exciting career opportunity is available for a budding content creator to service the corporate and retail segments of SIB.

The Marketing & Communications Intern will be tasked with researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating traditional & digital marketing strategies.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing media relations and correspondences
  • Reviewing, revising and procuring branding and marketing collateral
  • Undertaking email marketing, copywriting, and search engine optimization
  • Undertaking writing of blog articles around pre-determined investment-themed topics
  • Initiating, planning, and executing business-related digital campaigns from concept development, through budget preparation and campaign execution & tracking
  • Researching, scripting, developing storyboards and championing the production of audio-visual content for the businesses
  • Executing digital PR and communication via social media including content design
  • Preparation & presentation of performance reports for campaigns run via digital platforms of the business
  • Preparing weekly CRM reports and drafting recommendations for better prospects re-targeting
  • Organizing corporate and client events in conjunction with selected service providers
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in relevant field
  • A minimum grade of C+ in KCSE
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, and a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communicator with solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience in working with advertising on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Prior experience with creative production (photography & videography) is preferable
